Augment: CyberDONG
Story by ZeHell-ScythefanToo
This is that long project I was mentioning here and there. I started this seven months ago and I don't think it has failed to deliver my original purpose of a 'Near Future' type scenario, the idea born from other sexual robot fanfiction. Of course, I might have finished it sooner had I not found certain parts of its development iffy (even though when I actually finished them they turned out better than expected) and I hadn't played through Live-A-Live when I did, but, nevertheless, I'm proud to be posting it now - and especially after my phone's SD card just died earlier today and tried to take this entire thing with it. (My written works automatically back themselves up, but it still swallowed the whole last paragraph which has since been reconstructed.)
Also, a random fun fact: my brother says he never sees African-American people with the name Richard. :16:

The world today is amazing. Thanks to the technological enhancements of the 22nd century, we have things like robot butlers, AI devices you can ask to do calculations or search the Interspace on the go, medical technology for replacing destroyed limbs... It was the lattermost of those I'd always been interested in, but not because I myself was missing anything. More accurate to say that I was totally interested in donating one for the sake of human advancement - more and more people were augmented into being part machine every day, and it still wasn't one-hundred percent an exact science! I knew I was perfectly healthy, modest, capable, willing.... Who would say I couldn't handle some sort of engineering or maintenance position with the right gear? Would be better than staying some sort of office wife who spends the rest of her life earning money by creating or sorting documents and human affairs, that's for sure!
I know most women in this day and age are more independent now than they've ever been, but I'm not afraid to admit I've got the total support cheer from my guyfriend! Some people would say 'boyfriend' since he's more than just an acquaintance, but no matter what I call him, we both know he's a dream come true - my desire was what brought us together in the first place, even, him the budding scientist and inventor in the very field I was willing to give myself to out of pure admiration! And before anybody tries to say I'm only attracted to him because of what I want, not true! Rick and I have been together since high school, and we came together like peas in a pod even before we truly deciphered what we wanted out of college degrees, or living in the same home! We were a match made at first sight, and I wanted to thank destiny for lining up the stars and bringing us all the way here!
'Here' left me giddy with excitement as I stepped up to the research institute my soon-to-be fiancé (oh, I gushed when I stumbled upon the hidden rings! I know he's saving the announcement for after my successful augmentation, though!) practically called a second home! As I stepped forth with a proud sway, past polite or possibly gentlemanly scientists who tipped their hats at me, I wondered with ever the present cache of curiosity which augment I could have been selected to test! Imagine an arm that works with self-stabilizing pinpoint accuracy, capable of fine repairs or precision tasks - as well as containing a modular array of tools to boot! Perhaps a leg or two, aiding with movement, propulsion, shock-absorbing, or even gyroscopic direction? And then there were other, smaller things... New organs, new functions, new possibilities in every direction! I would have to concede, though, that augments taking the place of sexual characteristics - just like implants, in fact - were much less flattering thoughts, base concepts better suited for those in the adult business. Still, I supposed, if mankind could invent pairs of breasts that would aid in solving world hunger, how would I argue that?
I walked in, spoke briefly with the reception security, and was directed on my way to the nearest station where I would be escorted for experimentation. A couple of people looked at me like I was the kind of person who was looking for mechanical gratification, or maybe just crazy desperate enough to want change, but I ignored them. I knew the risks, and I knew what I was going in for! It wasn't like I wanted to be part of a whole new line of cyber-warfare, or even join the military as a competent cyborg - I wasn't the type to be able to hold my lunch if I was thrust into a hostile situation, at any rate, and the opposite scenario wasn't completely true either! Augment freaks that take on new parts because the sensation was addictive didn't sou
