Captain's Wager (futa/m, noncon, light sci-fi)
Story by randomix
Hello, all. This is the first time I've written anything since I was a kid. I wasn't really expecting this story to turn out this way, but, since I've lurked here for quite some time, I knew where to post it. Please enjoy, constructive criticism is appreciated. Probably.
“Damn!” Cam shouted as the pirates destroyed his cargo ship's port laser banks. They'd already disabled his starboard banks. He'd had lost his defense drones in an earlier encounter on this run, so now he had to hope that he could re-tune Lugger's drive crystal for an emergency engine thrust that the pirates' smaller engined fighters couldn't keep up with. The higher frequency would damage the crystal, but better that than hoping someone would answer his distress signal before the pirates finished their dirty work.
Cam set the autopilot to evasive maneuvers, and was about to dash back to the engine room when he received a hail from one of the pirates.
“Cam, why don't you shut your engines down and let us take Lugger and that cargo off your hands.”
“Jacob, you rat bastard! Is this why you quit? So you could take up piracy and steal everything we worked for?”
Jacob laughed heartily. “What can I say? This is more fun! And more lucrative.”Cam didn't respond, so Jacob continued, “Cam, why don't you just park Lugger, and let me board. I promise I won't kill you. We go back too far for that.”
Instead, Cam jumped out of the control seat and made for the engine room. “Thrice damned, motherfucking, son of a politician!” Cam swore as he entered the room. Surely, he thought, Jacob wouldn't give him much longer to respond. The sound of plasma fire cascading against the hull told Cam that he was right. He started working to space the resonance reflectors closer to the crystal for the shorter wavelengths. Normally, this would have been Jacob's job, Cam thought, but there wasn't time to waste reminiscing. After all, Jacob was the one trying to fuck him over.
Cam had just finished repositioning the reflectors and was about to increase the crystal's vibration when the ship went dark. Jacob must have finally damaged the power cells. Lugger was dead in space.

Elena DeMarco had followed the distress beacon, and now watched the four fighters descend upon the cargo ship from the cockpit of her own ship, The Winsome Lass. The Lass was a stolen Fermini police cruiser. It had medium armor, decent weaponry, three crew cabins (although Elena was the sole occupant), a small cargo hold, and a brig. It was designed for situations such as this one – swoop in and disperse or eliminate any pirates, and confiscate any contraband cargo. Of course, Elena DeMarco was no police officer. She twitched with excitement. This was going to be fun.
The Lass took two of the fighters by surprise as it joined the combat, and then moved in toward the one attempting to dock with the cargo ship. Elena figured the pilot must have realized that a third party had entered the fray, because it jerked out of it's docking pattern and began flying erratically. She had the attempted boarder in her sights when The Lass bucked. The fourth fighter must have fired a rocket at her. The computer showed that the rocket had not pierced The Lass's hull, but Elena was not pleased.
Elena turned away from the fighter she had been pursuing. They were probably bugging out anyway. She dove The Lass under the cargo ship and then up around the other side. She slowed down as she angled her ship upward and the small fighter shot past her. It took only a moment for her to draw a bead on the fighter and fire. Checking her sensors confirmed that the one remaining fighter was indeed fleeing.
Elena docked with the damaged cargo ship now. She grabbed a pair of sound dampeners and placed them over her ears as she made for the docked ship. She arrived at the door and plugged a cable from her ship into the cargo ship. Normal pirates would have had to convince the cargo ship to open the door or cut through it. But as a former police cruiser, The Lass had software to force the other ship to open. Within a few moments, it was done, and Elena DeMarco boarded Lugger. She heard the ship's captain running her way, and tossed a sonic grenade down the hallway. It emitted its high-pitched whine and the cargo captain dropped before reaching Elena. She walked over and recovered her grenade, silencing the whine. She found laying before her a thin man, hair a little on the long side, with a spanner on the floor just out of his reach.

Cam woke up in unfamiliar surroundings. “Jacob!” he shouted as he stormed out of the cabin. “Jacob!” He made his way to the ship's common area, where he encountered a tall, green-haired woman with a pistol pointed his way.
“You should calm down,” she said, slightly menacingly. Then, with a playful smirk, “Stress is bad for your health.”
Cam slowed down, and took in his surrounding
