Sunny turned her head. Their holographic alarm clock in a shape of U.S.S. Enterprise was showing 10:48 AM. Girl mumbled something about hating Mondays and then she got up from their giant bed. She dressed bathrobe and left the bedroom.

It wasn’t her bathrobe but Charline’s, who was a big Doctor Who nerd. Bathrobe was blue and too long for Sunny. Charline was nearly two feet taller than Sunny. Still nearly a sleep, girl dragged the end of her robe behind her as she walked into the kitchen.

She and her girlfriend weren’t living here for long so the room still had that new smell feeling. Sunny sat down at the bar stool near the kitchen line and set the coffeemaker in motion. In a less than a minute sweet smell of latté filled the room.

Sunny took a sip and smiled.

Then she felt the kick.

She always thought that this must be the feel when the baby kicks her mother. But there were a few differences between cute movement of an unborn child and this. First, Sunny wasn’t pregnant. Second, this “baby” was weighting much more. And last but no means least, the kick came from lower places than her belly.

“Took you long enough.” she said and untied her robe.

She was naked underneath it. After starting living with Charline, she gave up on pajamas. Their night work shifts were wild and at the end, they both were really tired to even bother about the pajamas. And mainly, after her recent surgery, Sunny couldn’t wear any of them anymore.
