[POLL AND INTEREST CHECK] Activity to Encourage New Writers

One of the big draws here at FP is that it is a bastion for the erotic writer. We like to provide plenty for both those who wish to write and members who enjoy reading stories posted here. One of the things I have noticed recently is that there have been a few threads from new writers struggling to get started. The desire is there, but the daunting nature of writing is a bit cumbersome.

Years ago, we had a thread here that afforded an opportunity for members to break themselves into writing. It involved writing a story for a posted picture, which would cycle after a story was posted. I and many other authors here got started with such an activity. Even though we allow necroposting, the original thread has been dead long enough that forum necromancy would be problematic, at best. Likewise, the last few major efforts in that thread fell into disarray due to the rather loose rules in the thread.

Before we revive this activity with a new thread, I would like to poll both the experienced authors, the new authors and those who wish to get his or her start in writing whether they would be interested in this activity. It is not meant to be a contest. It is meant to be fun and encourage folks to write stories while giving new authors opportunities to hone one's skills.

Simply vote "Yes" or "No" in the poll. After a few weeks, if the consensus is positive, we will post the thread with the stipulations and rules.
