M.4.L.C.4.N.7.H.3.7.'s adventures in FallOut:NV

Sorry to some. Wanted to keep a 'journal' of sorts for my current Daughter of Ares Character in FO:NV. (( should note prologue is not quite done yet ))

Prologue:

Been in this thing awhile now unsure of just how long though. Most of my systems are turned off hearing is the only thing working and that just turned on ... Sounds like someone found this level. They must have tripped an alarm somewhere to turn my hearing on.

"What is this place? And why are these things in tubes like that?"

"No idea really, Sir ... Looks like something weird was going on down here. That and all of the robots in these tubes is creepy as heck, Sir. I did inform the Elders and the Scribes that I managed to hack the door though."

Did they not know about the purpose of this base? Or even why the we are all in these tubes? I wonder how many of my 'Sisters' managed to achieve sapience like me though.

"Sir this terminal is on. Permission to hack?"

"... Permission granted. We need to know what they where doing in here. Could be useful for the Brotherhood."

Brotherhood ... I do not recognize that organization ... Kinda wish I could see what the heck was going on. Why would they need to hack the computers anyways?

"Umm ... Sir. I think we might have an issue ..."

"Issue? What kind of issue?"

"One of the tubes are booting up... But it does not say which one just gives a code M-4-L-C-4-N-7-H-3-7 ... going to see what I can find on this one."

Umm ... OK might be busted I think. I wonder what the files say about me ...

"Sir the booting tube is listed as Combat-Capable. Also states in this one file that it was built as a Scout Gynoid ... Hmmm ... Says that it was shut down for; and I Quote; 'Disrespecting Standard Combat Protocols and Manipulating Orders' ... Why where they making Scout Gynoids?"

"What is the tag for that file? Also do we have a location for it yet?

"No location yet Sir. Think they might have tried to hide it as deep as they could though ... I did find some combat records on it though ... and a lot of disciplinary notices. Seems like there was a glitch in its programming they where unable to recreate or remove ... Ummm ... Seems that the main reason behind shutting it down was in its last scouting mission ... 2075 ... Also appears to have found a Chinese Base on the mission. Hmm ... the report states that it went Silent for 2 hours then returned to its planned route afterwards. When it returned to base it would not say why it went Silent. They only found out about the base after sending a platoon of Power Armour to search near where it went Silent ... Apparently Autopsies confirmed that everyon in that base died within 2 days from poisons ... I meant that plurally Sir ... It seems that the Gynoid managed to gather poisons while scouting ... What was a Brown Recluse Sir?"

"... The heck where they making scout robots for? As for a Brown Recluse I think it was a type of Arachnid ... Why?"

"Well reports list the poisons as being a concoction of Brown Recluse, Rattlesnake, Something called Hemlock, Deadly Nightshade and Deathcap ... If I must say this sounds like it did this of ... forgive me Sir ... but of its own will. Something is very odd about that model though.

"After they determined all of that, it was reclassified as Rogue, Shut down and used for other experiments ... Including something called 'Project: Intelligent design' ... That is all that this terminal has on it. Maybe one of the terminals deeper in might have more on it."

"What do you mean free will. Robots are incapable of doing anything other then what they have been programmed for ... Wait did you not say it had been shut down for Manipulating Orders in addition to an apparent software glitch? We need to find that unit fast. Better remove the safety's just in case that 'Glitch' the records mention made it unfriendly to all living beings.

Yep sounds like they know very little about the reality of my adaptive programming. Do wish I knew who the tech that added that program into me was though ... I am confused about whether I should smack them for getting shutdown for it or kiss them for letting me be better than what was expected of this project. Do remember something about 'Project: Intelligent Design' Mostly conjunction but a common theme was making something capable of rewriting protein structures into genomes somehow ... Good visual sensors are active now can not see very far but this tube is lit up and it seems to be the only tube lit up ... I do not think I am on the same floor as them nevermind the same room because this glow would be obvious from maybe a quarter-mile away.
