a thread for B(AW)OBW side stories

Story by ksoma

I want to write more in my "Best (and worst) of Both Worlds" story, but I'm not sure what way to go. Part of my loss comes from a limited narrative. Reading through my story, I do acknowledge that my writing style has been... inconsistent. And so, rather than throw my hands in the air, and just allow things to go which ever way, I decided I'm going to try to keep things from falling apart, and try to stay within a certain format for that story.

That means that the story has to remain being told from the perspective I've been telling it. With a few exceptions, it has been a 3rd person story, seen from, to use a shooter video game reference, over Ann's shoulder. And that is why I've been lost. I think the story needs to be told from "over the shoulder" of other characters at times, and I see that shift as being too big a change in the standard story. The solution is almost stupidly simply, but somehow escaped me until now: Write side chapters based around other characters, and simply state where in the story these events happen.

some side stories will be character/story based, some sex based.

So, this is my first such side story. "The Doctor" is a short chapter, and takes place after chapter 13.

The Doctor, chapter 1 Eight thirty isn't supposed to feel late. Christina let out a moan and she slipped out of her heels, and a groan of relief as she sank into her sofa. Those had been the wrong shoes for a day following two teenage girls around a mall, and the fact that she was at home again was a relief. Eight thirty isn't supposed to feel late, but she was ready for a glass of wine and her bed. Well, in a few minutes anyways, not yet. She was not getting back on those feet for at least a few minutes.

She sighed, stretched, and kicked her feet up on her coffee table. It had been a good day. When was the last time she had a girls day out? Med school had kept her too busy for any social life outside of family events, and now that that was done and she had a residency? Well, friends drifted apart, and she was on call a lot. There were a few on staff who were around her age, but it became apparent quickly that doctors and nurses didn't fraternize often. They worked well with each other, but there was something that just made it uncomfortable. Yes, today was a good day. She needed it.

Emily was doing good, and that made her happy. Part of her still saw her little cousin as a toddler, or an eight or nine year old. Just months away from being fourteen, in highschool, even interested in sex! Christina sighed again. She wasn't sure if she was amused with all this, or concerned at how fast time was passing. Emily had always been quiet, not afraid of being noticed, but definitely preferring to be a wallflower. To see her how she was today was sort of magical. All smiles, all confidence. To see her come out of her cocoon so much, and to see how much of that was due to a new friend, made the young doctor smile.

And Emily's friend? A soft moan escaped her lips as she thought of Ann, followed by an immediate welling up of guilt. She was a girl! Not only did that mean female, but it also meant young. And even if those two things did not dissuade her, she was also the girl of Emily's desire, and wanted Emily in return. Unavailable, utterly. But when Christina closed her eyes, all she saw in her mind was Ann's green eyes, big and full of desire, looking down at her. A shudder ran down her back, and she felt a hint of moisture between her legs. Of all the people to lust after, a fourteen year old girl!

"Is it just because I'm lonely?" She wondered to herself. Her last boyfriend was.... years ago. He didn't have any consideration for her dedication to her studies, or the decency to tell her it was over. At twenty she had given him her virginity. A few months later, he gave her the surprise of walking in on him and her room mate having sex. On her bed. And they both had the gall to tell her she was the bitch for being upset. She swore off relationships until she was done at school, but now found herself unsure where to find someone, and she was getting pent up.

Emily was her first patient, but was shy to talk about things at first. When Christina shared the story of her ex, it made her cousin more open to talk, and Christina found herself thinking about that conversation with a little bit of amusement, and self reflection. Emily, it seemed, was frustrated because she felt things. Sexual things. She got aroused, and wanted fulfillment, but she almost felt like she had no desires. Guys didn't turn her on or interest her. Younger or older, pretty-boys or lumberjacks, or anywhere in between. She said she could see how they were attractive, but it wasn't what she wanted. And the story was the same with girls, although it took longer to get to that. Emily had stuttered and stammered her way through that, embarrassed that the subject had come up. But again, young or old
