Author's preface: Ooohoh~ My first comeback in several years, and it's gonna be yet another 'no save file' story. But this time I'm not aiming for a convoluted plot and expect something great. You, the readers, can read at any point without feeling too stressed about catching up, since the posts won't be too long or cliffhang in odd places, but you may never know. To give you some gist, this story is set between two worlds. One not quite our own, and one that's obviously not. There's some food for thought of different kinds, so I hope you enjoy this kind of plot and you can feel free to put your thoughts in here in orderly fashion.

At a place where the moon was seen to be at full wax and the night sky was lit with many stars, two feminine figures clad in black robes with hoods stood next to each other, gazing into the horizon. They were at a coast, and the gentle rustling of ocean waters contrasted the silence of all surroundings.
"It's funny how we both stand here, idle.... as if our hundred years of hostility had never happened."
"It's funny because of how you think of the circumstances now. Your way of thinking changed, your perception of things changed as well."
"Yes. I regret now. I regret all that we've done.... It could've been prevented."
"No, it only would have, if it weren't for our traditional bonds. But that aside, have you finished what you started?"
"Yes. I destroyed all traces of knowledge in the creation of Immortalix. Immortality will stay just a dream - out of reach and reality."
"But you can never destroy the desire for it. None of us can."
"Yes. Which is why our aging process was only slowed - not reverted."
The clouds of the night gradually drifted to block the rays of the moon, making the coast darker.
"This confounded Outpour.... When will it end?"
"It will end when both sides of our alchemic world truly work together and finally go for the Chaos Forge - for the kill."
Suddenly, from the darkened land behind them, a pack of growling wolves made of shadows, as black as octopus ink, came charging in a formation of 36. The hooded women, as calm as military veterans, turned around while weapons formed out of thin air for them in their hands. A crimson colored gun with sharp edges appeared for one of them out of materializing red wisps, which fired fearsome red blasts at the wolves, tearing through them with ease and melted them into nothingness. A silver scepter appeared for another, who held it upwards before conjuring a loud crackling bolt of lightning which bounced from one shadow wolf to another, killing them in quick succession. The remaining wolves lept up for the kill, but the women were far too armed and skilled to be killed in such a way.
With rapid fire blasts and a couple more lightning strikes, the entire pack was decimated.
"Shit. They've found us."
"Don't worry. There's another place where we can rest up soon. One that is geologically prepared to blind the Outpour's senses."

"I HATE MY LIFE!"
Shouted a disgruntled teenager into a pillow, which of course muffled the outcry so that the context would be clear to only himself. A teenage male with brown hair and in short hair cut was struggling to finish the homework on his desk after he barely finished the household chores his parents left for him. In the living room there's a small framed landscape photo of him and his two parents, both of which were in their middle ages. His room didn't have much to write about, but he himself was another story. His fists slammed on the table as he looked at the table clock. If he didn't finish the last part of his homework soon he would risk sleeping late, and wake up only to miss the bus to school the next day.
It didn't help that by timely coincidence, his parents forgot to pay the internet service bill, and thus his internet got cut off that night. Without access to internet, the desktop computer in the living room would only be of value to his irresponsible looking father, who left with the mother together for a 3 day trip to Washington to make arrangements for a possible new job.
"If ONLY I have SOME way of GOOGLING my way out of this homework!" The teenager yelled.
It was a peaceful night in Portland, Oregon. Peaceful to nearly all but him, Jack Stillman. 17 years old. Living in an apartment that was part of an unpopular high rise due to high rent. His parents somehow have a deed that allows them permanent residency in the apartment, but since economy was only equal to everyone when it came to expenses, they would have no means of getting a better household somewhere else.
But for Jack, the night was about to get more chaotic besides the homework. He soon heard sounds of beastly gnarls and felt trem
