The Saviors of Kael

Story by KyroPracter

Salutations!

It took me a lot longer than I had originally anticipated, but I finally finished the concluding story to my unusual adventure. I think I'm going to call it the Crystalline Trilogy. This time around I was focusing much more on character development and action sequences. I poured all of my energy into this one, trying to make it an epic finale as possible.

As a young writer, I feel exhausted. I don't know how you more professional types can keep at it for so long! For those of you interested, I enjoy the oddities. Monster girls, transformations, tentacles, multi-cock, etc., all of which you'll find in here. Hope you can put aside some time to enjoy it. It's roughly 122 pages and 63k+ words. Feel free to leave any critics, suggestions, corrections, or confusions that you might have. It'll be a long while before I write anything of this scale again, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the process ;) In the end, one of the most gratifying feelings is having accomplished a long time goal of mine.

And now, the concluding book to my first trilogy: The Saviors of Kael

Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1: FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

Sometimes the best way to hide is in plain sight. Contradicting? Maybe. But for 19-year-old Sarah, it was the safest place to be. Huddled with her knees close to her chest, she lay on her bed. Unable to sleep, unable to eat, unable to live a normal life. And as the days went by, it was just getting worse…

Sarah was haunted by her terrible memories. She frequently revisited the night when her mind and body were no longer her own. She had transformed into a terrifying demon! Her unconquerable hunger led her to feast upon her sister’s friends. She couldn’t stop it! She couldn’t contain it! But when the moment of truth finally came, she was able to fight back. She was able to protect them, especially her younger sister Katie. But what was the cause of all this?

There was also that harrowing experience at her old high school. Her friends had turned against her. They were being controlled by a monstrous demon from another world! A demon that she helped bring into existence. It was after her. They were after her. If it weren’t for Katie, she might not even be here today. She had barely escaped that night with her life! But what life did she have left?

Sarah was unable to concentrate on anything else. There was another world out there. A terrifying, unknown place with hell-spawn creatures clawing to get at her soul. How could she go on with a normal life after knowing this? What could she do? Who could she turn to? Her friends would think she was nuts. Her parents would stick her in a mental hospital. A therapist would tell her that it was all in her head. No one could help.

Sarah had grown fearful of the darkness. She had the shades wide open when it was daytime. Sunlight was constantly filling the room. At night she would turn on all the nights, including her desk and closet light. Both her parents and sister were starting to worry about this strange behavior. She wouldn’t explain to them why she did it. She just wanted to be left alone. There wasn’t a person in the world that would understand what she was going through. Not a shoulder to cry on. Nobody to tell.

Her next semester of college was going to start soon. Sarah hadn’t even registered for classes yet. She only went outside when dragged, and if it were up to her, she wouldn’t ever leave her room. She didn’t feel safe outside. She didn’t feel completely safe in her room either, but it was better than the alternative. This was so depressing. She couldn’t get out of this funk. If only she had answers. If only she knew what was trying to get her. What was this supposed, “Power,” inside of her? Why did it have to be her? Why couldn’t somebody else have this curse? Why?

There was a sudden knock on her door. Sarah looked up, but didn’t respond.

“Hey sis?” came the soft voice of her younger sister Katie.

Sarah continued to remain silent. She didn’t want to talk to anyone.

The door began to creek open. Peering in from a crack in the door were the blue eyes belonging to Katie. The usually carefree, recent high school grad was worried about her older sister.

“Sarah?” she asked again.

Still no response. Regardless of the lack of invitation, Katie opened the door and walked i
